In this benchmarking breakout, participants will engage with lived experience leaders, Caro Swanson and Aaryn Niuapu from Te Pou to wānanga how we currently view safety and risk in our mental health services and explore how changing our perspectives can influence transformative changes in the way we practice.
Using the seclusion data dashboards, attendees can uncover insights from seclusion data collected in PRIMHD to learn how other services are working to reduce their use of seclusion and draw on Caro and Aaryn’s expertise about what makes a difference from the perspective of people who access services.
Please note: Unfortunately, due to the spread of Omicron in our communities and workforce, the KPI Programme have needed to postpone this event to Thursday 14 April 2021, 9:30am to 10:30am. This varies from the original event date of Thursday 10 March which was advertised in The Indicator on Wednesday 23 February.
The purpose of benchmarking breakouts is for attendees to connect around topical sector issues and use the data dashboard indicators to explore and ask questions about what the current data is saying to uncover insights and learnings that inform continuous service improvement initiatives.
Benchmarking breakouts are open to anyone from across Aotearoa delivering mental health and addiction services, family, whānau and people who use services with a passion for realising the full utility of benchmarking to drive continuous improvement and the equity of health outcomes for tāngata whai ora, whānau and communities.
