Virtual hui – Waharoa: delivering results for whai ora Māori and whānau in Tairāwhiti | Hine Moeke-Murray

Whāriki member Hine Moeke-Murray is Chief Executive at Te Waharoa, where in a ground-breaking initiative run by Te Kupenga Net Trust and Hauora Tairāwhiti, indigenous mātauranga is reframing conversations with whānau experiencing distress. Following a Te Ao Māori methodology, the team includes counsellors, clinicians and artists working with whānau as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify meaningful pathways to wellbeing. Hine will discuss the unique approach to incorporating and applying indigenous mātauranga in Tairāwhiti in a Kaupapa Māori setting with FIT as part of the evaluation methods.
